About TheBluesland
I'm Mehmet, and TheBluesland is a place to share my Spotify playlists. Blues and rock are at the heart of the collection, alongside folk, jazz, soul, electronic music, and the connections between them.
Some playlists stay with one artist or a particular sound. Others bring together music for a long drive, a quiet evening, or a change of mood. There are tributes, film-inspired selections, and mixes that wander across genres.
Each playlist has a short note to give you a feel for the music before you press play. Browse by mood, genre, occasion, or era, explore the collections, or head straight to all playlists. When something catches your ear, open it in Spotify and listen.
Frequently asked questions
What is TheBluesland?
TheBluesland is Mehmet's personal collection of Spotify playlists, rooted in blues and spanning rock, folk, jazz, soul and electronic music. Each playlist comes with a short curator note.
Is TheBluesland affiliated with Spotify?
No. TheBluesland is an independent, personal project. It links to playlists hosted on Spotify but isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Spotify.
How are the mood, genre, occasion and era tags chosen?
Mood, genre and occasion tags are chosen by hand for each playlist. Era tags are usually chosen by hand too; for playlists that mix many periods, an era estimate is calculated from Spotify's release-date data and kept up to date automatically.
How often is the site updated?
New playlists and curator notes are added whenever there's more to share. Playlist details such as track counts sync from Spotify roughly once a month.
